Dear Artists/Rasikas, It is really pleasing that we have been receiving enquiries showing interest to get featured or suggest the photos in WOCUE rasanavam series. Please read the following info :

What exactly is WOCUErasanavam?

Through this series we try to feature great captures from Cultural field. It can be either from performance or from photoshoot.

What sort of photos are considered in this ?

Photos of Artists. It can either be from performance or art related photo shoot. But it should not be a normal picture. The capture should be SOMETHING SPECIAL that makes us say WOW! We will select the best from the one that comes under our consideration and will be presented as WOCUE rasanavam something special capture

Who can send..?

You can send your own photo or suggest the photos of others.

What next?

selected photo will be treated with special importance as follows :

a special page dedicating to the selected photo giving focus to the artist with a note will be published in this web of WOCUE
displayed in the group with with special mention
short note of the artist will be also published along with it
photo credits will be also mentioned every time it is posted
photo will be set as the cover photo of WOCUE's facebook group and fan page with the name of the artist at least for two weeks
photo will be repeatedly posted atleast five times in fb group and fan page
it will be added in the WOCUE rasanavam special album in fb group with the short note on the artist

Fourth WOCUE RasaNavam is announced

T his time, while considering the fourth WOCUE rasanavam – something special captures, we wondered if any one could have taken their eyes away from the beauty of the brush strokes by the sun on this little green globe, amazingly captured by Sri Kundan De with his lense. Arupa Lahiri , the renowned dancer, underlines her name (literally means without form, which really is the ultimate form of beauty) with her presence- that is perfectly in tune with the nature! Her expression creates life over the broken wood on the right. The colors in the frame, let it be the nature or the costume, seems interwoven, even the contrast ones. V idushi Bombay Jayashri culminated her musical yagnas Margazhi season Chennai appropriately at a Sabha whose name is synonymous with the Vedic sage holding Tampura singing songs of Vishnu and Sadguru Gnanananda . Pollachi Tamil Isai Sangam annual dance fest

A s a part of 33rd annual dance festival by the Pollachi Tamil Isai Sangam, a group of Mohiniyattam dancers from Upaasna akademy of fine arts of Mumbai led by Smt. Sujatha Nair presented a few selected Mohiniyattam items on Sunday 12th August 2018 at the KKG Thirumana mandapa auditorium. Starting with an item in praise of the one tusked Vigneswara they presented a Varnam in ragam Simhendra Madyamam depicting few scenes from Ramayanam like Ahalya moksham, Seeta Swayamvaram and Sabarai Darshanam. While Sujatha Nair did a solo presentation of an ashtapadi from Gitagovindam. The group also presented an item in Ragamaalika, recreating the Vrindavana leelas of Lord Srikrushna. All the items were choreographed by Smt. Jayashree Nair, founder director of Upaasana. Jayashree Nair and her students were felicitated by the Sangam secretary Sri G D Gopalakrishnan.
